Most Hidden Fences are set and forget once the installation, set up and training are completed and your pets understand and respect the Hidden Fence containment boundaries. For most people this is their experience with a Hidden Fence and they and their pets lead a very content life knowing the neighbors chickens are now safe or your dog is now contained from escaping to a busy road.
However natural disasters happen, earthworks occur, we all do renovations or landscaping and sometimes we simply move house and need a little professional help to get things back to where they were.
Hidden Fence Central Coast & Hunter offer ongoing after sales service and maintenance. It might be as that you purchased another dog and need flagging and training done, a replacement receiver collar battery, re-alignment of the boundary wire to keep dogs out of vege patches or garden beds, or a more complex call out like removing and reinstalling a complete system to take to a new home.
However big or small we will assist over the phone where we can or travel between the Hawkesbury River in the south right the way to Port Macquarie in the north and out to Scone in the west…covering everywhere in-between. It’s a beautiful region to travel in…someone has to do it.

Set-Up Training
A vital step in the success of your new Hidden Fence
It is not fair on your pet to just clip on a new receiver collar and let them work out their new Hidden Fence for themselves. Training them to understand the system will ensure a lifetime of contentment for both you and your pet and in many cases will be the only time your pet will ever receive a stimulation.
FLAGGING
Flagging is vital that it is done correctly. It is not a matter of sticking the flags where the wire was installed as this will not allow you pet to fully assimilate the audible warning sound coming from their Hidden Fence Receiver collar and the association of this warning with the visual element of the flags.
This is just a warning for them, however if they continue past the flags, (which will be rare after training), a stimulation will occur. In their early days on the system they will associate the audible sound with the flags as a warning to retreat before stimulation. In time the flags are removed and the dogs are aided to remember the boundary area by the audible sound.
RECEIVER COLLAR SET-UP
Your Hidden Fence Central Coast & Hunter installer will custom set-up each of your receiver collars to fit your pets needs. He carries different sized collars to fit snugly and also has a range of different length contact points to suit your dogs fur requirements, (long contacts for fluffy dogs like a Husky, medium contacts for a Staffy, Boarder Collie or Cattle Dog, short contacts for a Greyhound or comfort contacts for a miniature short haired dachshund).
We will always start our training on the lowest stimulation levels as regardless of breed, all dogs are different in their thresholds. (DogWatch Hidden Fence R9, M7 and SF receiver collars have 7 different stimulation levels. The DIY kits receiver collars R12 have 4 levels). Sometimes level 1 is just perfect for some dogs, while others do not fell any stimulation at all. During your training session we will show you how to change the levels on the receiver collar with your special receiver tool (supplied) and set the level at the perfect setting for your pets needs.
TRAINING
Training is VITAL to the success of your Hidden Fence investment. If you do not do the training (apart from being unfair on your pet), the system might let you down. Our Hidden Fence Central Coast & Hunter installer will proved a behavioral and containment training session with you and your dog/s to show both of you how the system works. You are encouraged to repeat the training 6-12 times (2 -3 times a day or until you feel competent that you pet understand and respects the their new Hidden Fence containment boundaries. You will often see positive results after the very first session BUT it is VITAL this is repeated in different locations around the boundary on following days so your pet fully understands.

Moving House
Take Your Hidden Fence With You
If you love your Hidden Fence but are moving house you have the choice to leave it at your current property and advertise it as a feature of the property, or take it with you!
Hidden Fence Central Coast & Hunter will come to your old property and safely remove your system (excluding the dog wire cable) and relocate it to your new property installing it with new dog wire cable.
Just Moved in and Inherited a Hidden Fence
Have you just moved into a new property that has a Hidden Fence already installed? Need a receiver collar or want to know if it’s working properly and want your property flagged correctly and your pets trained?
Hidden Fence Central Coast and Hunter will come to your new home, set up a new collar or adjust and existing one. We’ll run through everything you need to know , plus test your system is working as it should. If you want the boundary flagged and your dog trained we can do that too.

Warranty Policy
For the purpose of this document, “HF” pertains to Hidden Fence. “dogwatch” pertains to a DogWatch Hidden Fence System. These terms and conditions are enforceable by all dealers of HF. For the purpose of this document, “HF” will be used as the architect of the document to simplify its warranty statement.
All DogWatch electronics carry a warranty.
No warranty is offered on: batteries, nylon collars, contact posts, wire/cable.
ALL on-site warranty service is subject to a reasonable service charge.
All products subject to warranty must be posted back to distributor for inspection prior to receiving the repaired or warrantied product returned. Warranties do not include postage. Postage is solely paid for by the customer, unless the warranty is processed within 30-days of the original purchase date.
All warranties granted in this document are for the sole use of the purchaser and are not transferable.
The unit or installation must not have been previously altered, repaired, tampered with or serviced by other than dealer or DogWatch authorised facility. The unit or installation must not have been subject to accident, misuse, abuse or operated contrary to the instructions given by dealer.
Lifetime Warranty – For Professional Grade equipment sold prior to 1/1/2024 – the lifetime warranty is in effect for as long as the original purchaser owns the equipment.
Limited Lifetime Warranty*- covers all DogWatch ® equipment product for a period of 3 or 5 years depending on the model, fully replaceable. After 3 or 5 years (depending on the model), there is a service replacement or repair cost.
3 Years is for Standard Grade Equipment
5 Years is for Professional Grade Electronics only sold on or after 1/1/2024
Postage warranties do not include postage. Postage is solely paid for by the customer, unless the warranty is processed within 60-days of the original purchase date.
Hidden Fence Central Coast & Hunter does not warranty the dog wire used with DogWatch systems. Breakage or deterioration of wire is not covered under any warranty in this document.
Warranty and Guarantee for Equipment
- 30-Day RETURN. HF carries a 30-Day return policy. Customer may return products in original packaging and receive FULL purchase price (less shipping and handling) as long as products have not been handled or installed or used on an animal. Customer can receive partial purchase price depending on what has been used.
- WARRANTY. All DogWatch ® products carry a warranty: except batteries, nylon collars, contact posts and components; which can prove defective by reason of improper workmanship and or material for the period of time specified below. ALL on-site warranty service is subject to a reasonable service charge.
All warranties granted in this document are for the sole use of the purchaser and are not transferable.
The unit or installation must not have been previously altered, repaired, tampered with or serviced by other than HF or DogWatch ® authorised facility. The product must not have been subject to accident, misuse, abuse or operated contrary to the instructions given by HF.
STANDARD GRADE EQUIPMENT WARRANTY: 3-Years
T1200 Transmitters – warranty is in effect for electronics only and does not cover water damage
R12 & R12M Receivers– warranty is in effect for electronics only and not applied to batteries, posts or nylon collars.
Batteries- HF does not warrant batteries used with DogWatch equipment.
PROFESSONAL GRADE EQUIPMENT WARRANTY: 5-Years
PT4 and PT5 Smart Fence Transmitters – warranty is in effect for electronics only and does not cover water damage
R9, R7M & SF Receivers– warranty is in effect for electronics only and not applied to batteries, posts or nylon collars.
Batteries- HF does not warrant batteries used with DogWatch equipment.
Warranty. HF does not warranty wire used with DogWatch systems. Breakage or deterioration of wire is not covered under any warranty in this document.
- DOGWATCH hidden fence systems will not keep people or other animals from entering your pet’s safe areas. If you feel your pet will not be safe from outside visitors/intruders (human/animal), you should not solely rely upon the system top keep your pet safe.
- INSTALLATION. The customer must provide an 240v outlet and keep it dedicated and operational. HF accepts no responsibility for damage to underground pipes, wires, etc. HF is not responsible for re-landscaping. Installations must have some form of logic and based on the animals welfare. Preferences must be secondary to the safety of the animal. If customer has installation issues, or seeks on-site support, he/she may contact a liscensed HF dealer for assistance with the understanding there may be a fee.
- WARNING. The control panel component (transmitter) of the system includes a visual and/or visual and audio signal to warn of a system malfunction. Therefore, the transmitter is intended to be installed in a place where such signals can be easily seen and/or heard. If the transmitter is installed in an enclosed are or a place that isn’t readily accessible to the customer, customer will forfeit the benefits of the system’s warning functions for which Company assumes no responsibility. If tampering or misuse with the transmitter by the customer occurs, customer forfeits any warranty and company assumes no responsibility. Transmitters are NOT waterproof or resistant. Therefore, customer must not allow the transmitter to be in contact with water. Water damage IS evident, so customer is advised to not expose transmitters to the elements.
- WARNING. Some persons claim that a ES (electrical stimulation) from an electronic receiver can provoke an animal to become aggressive, and to attack or bite. Customer is at all times responsible for their animal’s behavior. Customer is hereby warned to be alert for growling, snarling, biting, or other aggressive behaviors by any animal using the system, especially during training. If such behavior is observed, particularly if it appears to be associated in any way with the system, Customer should immediately stop using the system, unplug the transmitter and contact HF. Reported incidents have typically involved: 1) dogs with a pre-existing aggressive tendencies; 2) other provocation at the time of incident. Reports alleging such incidents are rare. (less than 0.01% of the time)
EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NO OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OTHER THAN THOSE PROVIDED IN WRITING HEREIN, SHALL APPLY TO THIS UNIT OR INSTALLATION. HF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE FOR ANY PERIOD IN EXCESS OR PERIODS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTIES PROVIDED ABOVE. IN ADDITION, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL CCC BE LIABLE FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE SUSTAINED, ECONOMIC LOSS OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH SAID UNIT OR INSTALLATION.
- ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This instrument contains the entire agreement between HF and the customer with respect to sale installation of the unit and supersedes all previous negotiation, commitment, statement and representations, whether written or oral, pertaining thereto.
- EFFECTIVENESS OF AGREEMENT. This agreement becomes binding upon HF only when a monetary transaction has been enabled and funds have changed hands. None of the terms and conditions may be altered.
