For most people, a dog is simply a companion. Man’s best friend has been kept as a pet for thousands of years, and we all know that our dogs are more than just a pet: they’re like family.
Hidden Fence Central Coast and Hunter helps locals protect their furry family members, with pawesome dog containment systems.
But what if your dog is not only a mate, but a work mate?
Will a Hidden Fence work for your working dog?
Hidden Fence Central Coast and Hunter explains everything you need to know about dog containment systems for working dogs:
Hidden Fences are perfect for working dogs
Hidden Fences are an excellent solution for working dogs, with a 99% success rate for dogs across the board. Whether you’ve got Cattle Dogs, Kelpies or Border Collies for herding livestock, Labradors or Retrievers for support and guide dogs, or German Sheppards, Bullmastiffs or Rottweilers for home protection, working dogs can be effectively trained to be contained within your Hidden Fence system. Infact these dogs are so smart they learn and respect the Hidden Fence faster than all other dogs. You can see them thinking about it from the first few minutes of training.
Hidden Fences may work better with working dogs than other dogs
As working dogs are extremely responsive to training, they are even more responsive to Hidden Fence containment training than the average breed of companion dog. This makes Hidden Fences the ideal solution for a range of intelligent working dog breeds, including Kelpies, Border Collies, Cattle Dogs, German Shepherds, Labradors, Rottweilers or any other dog that has an important role to play on your property.
Are there any dogs that can’t be trained to use a Hidden Fence system?
No! All dogs can be trained to use a Hidden Fence system. With a 99% success rate, all dogs regardless of breed can be safely and effectively trained to stay in your yard while on your DogWatch Hidden Fence. We even have hunting dogs on Hidden Fence.
How working dogs are trained to use a Hidden Fence system
Our training protocols have been developed to teach all dogs, regardless of breed, age, or personality to respect their Hidden Fence boundary.
Working dogs are highly responsive to training, and are generally some of the easiest and quickest dogs to train when using a Hidden Fence system. The training process can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days, depending on the dog, and usually only involves a few 15 minutes sessions in order to get your dog familiar with the Hidden Fence system. The process of training a working dog to respect the boundaries of the fence involves using training flags to create a visual boundary, familiarising your dog with the perimeter, testing your dog and allowing for corrections. Their Hidden Fence collar also has an audible warning beep that emits at the same location as the flags so they remember this when the flags start to disappear over a 6 week period.
With our training service, you get personal attention with your pet on your property. We’re excited to help train another successful pet on a DogWatch Hidden Fence as its so rewarding to see them free to enjoy your property, but stay safe at home too.
